Lizzy Gladstone was born in Berkeley, CA and raised in the vivacious sunshine of San Antonio, TX. An artist at heart, she earned a Bachelor of Art in Craft in 2007, before starting her own company, Sun Nation, a leather goods atelier focusing on non-toxic production methods and ethical business practices. During her time as creative director she also received a master’s in international management from Franklin University Switzerland and a certificate in botanical illustration from the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh.

Drawn to the natural world like magnet since she was a kid, Lizzy went on to pursue studies in horticultural therapy and became a certified master gardener. These studies, as well as work with community farms and children’s gardens, led her to begin a Master’s in Landscape Architecture at Cal-Poly Pomona. As a landscape architect, she plans to combine her background in art with her passion for plants and use landscape architecture as a conduit for change to build thriving communities rooted in ecological regeneration.
