In collaboration with Sunset Ridge Collective, a nonprofit associated with Sunset Ridge Church of Christ, our team brought to life the sustainably created green oasis that is Charis Park. Once a vacant one-acre lot, the park now houses a variety of unique garden spaces, food trucks with outdoor seating, a custom designed open-air pavilion, and a multi-use field for the community to enjoy. The design incorporates existing asphalt from the old parking lot into its new landforms and includes a bioswale that filters stormwater runoff and feeds into a rain garden. The park now connects the surrounding community by providing a place of wonder and discovery for all ages. In addition to being open for public use, Sunset Ridge Church of Christ uses the space for weddings and an outdoor location for church formation.
